Tek Panel Inc. Announces 32" All-in-One Display System with Removable PC

SUGAR GROVE, IL — April 26, 2011 —Tek Panel Inc., makers of large format all-in-one computer displays, introduced their newest models, the Tek Panel 320M and Tek Panel 320MT. Tek Panel Inc. has been a U.S. manufacturer of large-format PC integrated displays since 2002, but the Tek Panel 320M/320MT marks a significant departure from their core product line.
“The Tek Panel 320M is the first Tek Panel to feature a completely removable PC, allowing for quick and easy maintenance after deployment.” said John Bastian, Tek Panel CEO. “Some projects that call for a high-performance and rugged product such as a Tek Panel have additional requirements including energy consumption and accessibility to components after installation. The Tek Panel 320M features the same commercial grade display and ruggedness of standard Tek Panels, but with a removable PC enclosure, allowing for quick and easy maintenance.”
Tek Panel 320M Features Intel® Atom™ Processor
The Tek Panel 320M also features the Atom processor from Intel. The Atom CPU integrates the graphics, display, and memory controller with the processor, combining the duties of several PC components. This efficient design allows for a small form-factor PC that is low-cost and energy-efficient.
“The great thing about using the Atom CPU is that you don’t sacrifice performance,” said John Bastian. “The onboard graphics are capable of supporting up to 1080p video and the built-in audio supports 5.1 HD audio. When integrated with commercial-grade LCD displays, rugged enclosures and optional touch screen, the Tek Panel 320M covers all the requirements for a cost-effective, interactive, all-in-one display solution. The design also allows for a low Total Cost of Ownership because of ease of installation and access to critical components should they need service or upgrades. Maintenance can be performed in a matter of minutes by swapping the PC box with a replacement unit.”
Energy Star Qualified
The Tek Panel 320 is also an Energy Star qualified computer system, meaning it uses 30% to 65% less energy than a standard workstation PC.
“We have designed and built custom solutions before that were Energy Star qualified, but this is our first commercially available product that meets those standards,” said John Bastian, “and we are planning to offer greener versions of all sizes of Tek Panels in the near future.”
